|1 cup flour|
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cups butter (softened)
|Sift flour, baking soda and brown sugar|
Add oats and butter
Spread 1/2 mixture on greased and floured 9" pan.
Pat well together
Combine 2 cups chopped dates, 1/3 cups brown sugar, 1 1/4 cup water and 1 tsp flour. Cook until thickened stirring constantly. Cool and add vanilla. Spread over evenly. Cover with remaining mixture.
Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes
