Chicken cacciatore

1 - 2 1/2 lb chicken cut into pieces
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 clove garlic, minced
2 medium onions sliced
15 oz can spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
1 cup tomato juice
1/2 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp oregano

Heat oil in large skillet. Brown chicken well. Saute onion, garlic in the oil then add all other ingredients. When hot and bubbling return to chicken until tender. Serve on a bed of rice or noodles.
